Our orchards

The Uco Valley lays at the foot of the Andes mountain range in the province of Mendoza.
The area is considered an optimum ecosystem for walnut production
The valley has elevations ranging between 900 and 1,200 meters above sea level.

The soils are alluvial, sandy loam texture, with low risk of compaction, good drainage, oxygen and root health.
A high thermal amplitude allows simultaneous ripening of the fruit and the hull ensuring early harvest and light colors.
Excellent growing conditions are guaranteed due to the low relative humidity that results from the elevation, steep slopes and dry winds.
In average, winters in this area reach 1,100 Chill Hours.
Although the annual rains are only 280 mm, at La Maruca water supply is obtained through 2 perforations of 200 m3 per hour and irrigation rights on a main channel.
At the Uco Valley, water comes from snow melt which is of high purity and has a consistent and very low concentration of salts.
